One of the main attractions in the national park is Erawan Falls. We have been here several times and each time again enjoyed the beauty of the waterfalls. Erawan Falls stretches over 7 levels.

One can visit the falls and follow a trail up to the 6th level. The 7th level seems to take a bit of climbing. We never completed that portion but even the first 6 levels are an absolute beauty. The total trail is about 1500 meter long but expect to do a fair bit of climbing. Water is very nice green and some of the ponds allowed for a refreshing swim.

Along the trail there are plenty of places to sit down and have a pick-nick. Especially during weekends they can still fill up quickly.

From the parking nearby the falls you have a take a short hike to reach the first level of the waterfall. This hike leads through green forest which by itself is interesting already.

At the parking you will find a small market. Here you can buy drinks and food. Further up the trail to the waterfall you will not find any other shops anymore so if you need some food or drinks make sure to stock up.

  1. For food, try the market which is a one kilometre walk back up the road towards the highway. There it is also possible to find cheaper snacks, drinks, or other items. Just remember to bring your National Parks ticket with you to prove you have already paid.
